Restylane Lyft New Orleans
A smooth gel that glides easily under the skin over the cheekbone, this facial filler is made of hyaluronic acid, a carbohydrate that is naturally present in the body.
Hyaluronic acid works by providing a structural framework to the skin—it binds collagen and elastin together and attracts water, creating an overall anti-aging effect. Because the Restylane Lyft gel has properties that provide strength and support, it serves as an excellent option for restoring midfacial soft tissue to its natural position.
Restylane Lyft adds volume where it has been lost and is injected deeper into the tissue of the mid-face (among other areas) to replace volume and create a strong foundation. Its sister product, Restylane, is typically injected more superficially to fill wrinkles and hollows.
Previously known as Perlane, Restylane Lyft is the latest filler in the Restylane family to receive FDA approval for cheek augmentation and lifting the lower and mid-face.
Dr. Velargo and Dr. Hendrick are both trained and skilled injectors who use facial fillers both medically and artistically, much like a sculptor, to provide you with a natural, younger look. This requires the ability to determine the best areas for injections and how much filler should be used.
Other facial fillers include Juvéderm®, Juvéderm Voluma®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, and Belotero®. Drs. Velargo and Hendrick may suggest that you use a combination of injectables, including Botox® or Xeomin® to target more of the lines and wrinkles that are present. If surgery is necessary to achieve the result you want, they might recommend a facelift, neck lift, brow lift, or blepharoplasty (eyelid lift). Skin resurfacing can also help to smooth certain lines and wrinkles.

FAQs: Restylane Lyft
What happens during restylane lyft injections?
A tiny needle is used for the injections, and the procedure takes less than 30 minutes. Lidocaine is included in the injection formula to help ease discomfort. Dr. Velargo and Dr. Hendrick also use cool compress anesthesia and acupressure techniques to make the injections as comfortable as possible.
If you wish, we are happy to apply a topical numbing cream before your injections. If you choose this option, we kindly ask that you arrive approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow the cream time to take effect. We offer a very comfortable and relaxing Quiet Room within the clinic for your enjoyment.
After your injections, you may go home or relax in the Quiet Room for as long as you’d like.
Results are visible immediately and will continue to improve over the following days as the product attracts water.
What can I expect during recovery from restylane lyft?
You can proceed with most of your activities, including returning to work, after you leave our office following injections with fillers. Most patients experience some minimal swelling, bruising, and soreness for a few days. You can cover any discoloration with makeup, apply cool compresses to reduce the inflammation, and apply topical Arnica Montana to speed the resorption of any bruising.
How long do the effects of restylane lyft last?
Restylane Lyft injections last approximately 9-12 months, although some people have seen the results last longer.
In any case, the product stimulates the production of collagen in the skin, so less product may be needed for a similar result in subsequent maintenance injections.
